Moreno Valley to Hold Virtual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

Moreno Valley City leaders are inviting residents to join them from a safe distance this Saturday evening for the always-popular Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony.
"We've learned to adapt to new ways of doing things in 2020, and that's OK," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "Our popular Holiday Tree Lighting was never in question. It was just a matter of deciding how to do it this year."
Mayor Gutierrez and the City Council will light the City's tree at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5. Residents can join in the fun via the City's Facebook and YouTube accounts and cable channel MV3. Video from the event will be accessible on Facebook and YouTube for those who cannot watch at 6 p.m.
Residents are also invited to come to City Hall, 14177 Frederick St., between Dec. 5 and Jan. 1 to see the tree in person.

Ceremonia de Iluminación del Árbol Navideño
Los líderes de la ciudad de Moreno Valley están invitando a los residentes a unirse desde una distancia segura este sábado para la ceremonia popular de iluminación del árbol navideño.
"Hemos aprendido a adaptarnos a nuevas formas de hacer las cosas en 2020, y eso está bien", dijo el Dr. Yxstian Gutiérrez, alcalde de Moreno Valley. "Nuestra popular iluminación del árbol navideño nunca estuvo en duda. Solo era cuestión de decidir cómo hacerlo este año".
El alcalde Gutiérrez y el Concejo Municipal iluminarán el árbol de la ciudad a las 6 p.m., el sábado 5 de diciembre. Los residentes pueden unirse a la diversión a través de las cuentas de Facebook y YouTube de la ciudad y el canal de cable MV3. El video del evento estará disponible en Facebook y YouTube para aquellos que no puedan verlo a las 6 p.m.
